Biggest Marketing Challenges For 2023: #4

Are you doing things others are telling you to do in your marketing??Or do you build your marketing around customer needs? Do you know how they find their way to you online or offline? Do you know what triggers them to trust you, not others?

We have already covered other challenges for this year, like lack of trust, sustainability, and digital marketing challenges, but this one is the root of great marketing. It all comes down to what clients need and want, but we should consider it more.

There are obstacles.

I get that.

It is one of the biggest challenges to?bridge gaps in understanding the entire client journey. It takes time to build relationships and link customer behavior data in different phases and touch points with your brand (inc, loyal customers, clients, consumers, followers, people who have yet to hear about you, etc.).

But it is so worth it!

Marketing wastes time going through separate units (i.e., sales and customer loyalty team, CRM and media team, etc.) to access the specific information they need. And it prevents marketing from fully understanding the customer data and, therefore, the entire customer journey to conversion and retention.?But did you know that data shows that increasing customer retention by 5% can increase profits from 25% to 95% and that existing customers provide 65% of a company's business??Taking care of your customers, understanding them, and keeping them over time will impact your bottom line.

The best way to find clarity is to talk to your current customers and clients.?Ask for feedback, listen to them and adapt your visibility, services, and products you are offering.?Be open-minded about what they say, see where they go for information, and soon realize that you don't need to put yourself everywhere. You have your path; there is a need for the product or service you help them solve in your unique way.

Own that!

Your current clients, customers, collaborators, and community of like-minded people will be your biggest supporters.

Always.
