The Biggest Fundraiser You Haven't Tried

The Biggest Fundraiser You Haven't Tried

March Madness can be as impactful as #GivingTuesday, yet so few nonprofits raise money from donors competing for a cause. Rather than asking for money the same old way, why not take advantage of something many people already do professionally at work or with friends in filling out a March Madness bracket?

When we meet with charities, schools, and other 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, the misperception that raising money using a major sports/Hollywood event must be gambling or a raffle is pervasive. Online sports websites that offer the March Madness bracket are not purpose-built for fundraising - primarily they are used for office betting pools. For a nonprofit that wants to fundraise with March Madness, making it easy for supporters to donate, play, and track the leaderboard is what differentiates GiveGame from any other platform. We are purpose-built to enable online fundraising for nonprofit organizations. 90% of any entry donations received goes to the designated nonprofit (the 10% GiveGame platform fee includes all credit card and payout fees). There are 70+ fundraising opportunities each year on the GiveGame platform, but March Madness is far-and-away the biggest and highest profile event.

If your cause or a cause you love to support is facing a more challenging fundraising environment due to COVID-19 impacts to your event, this is the time to fundraise a new way.

With Selection Sunday less than a week away, NOW is the time to use GiveGame’s platform to fundraise with our March Madness bracket game. It only takes 1 minute to set it up, and you can easily recruit players/donors when you share your fundraising share link on social media/email on Sunday March 15th when the teams are announced.

Reserve your March Madness fundraiser NOW and engage with your donors in a new way:
