Bigger Better Breakbulk 2022

Bigger Better Breakbulk 2022

Finally a trade fair again! From 17 May to 19 May 2022, the Breakbulk Europe took place for the first time in Rotterdam. Breakbulk Europe has developed into a global meeting place for the industry and Rhenus was right in the middle of it! And not only at the fair, but also in Rotterdam with our?Rhenus B.V. terminals and many other great events outside Ahoy.

Our two colleagues will take you on a trip behind the scenes of #Rhenusatbreakbulk.

Monday: 16 May 2022

It’s the day before the official opening of the fair, but of course preparations are already in full swing. And not only in the exhibition hall to prepare the booth for the next day, but also for the colleagues of our deep-sea terminal Maasvlakte in the Port of Rotterdam because the Heavylift Group is also a guest.

The THLG is an international group of specialised heavy haulage companies that join forces to offer the highest level of service and expertise in line with customer needs. Rhenus Logistics, represented by @Rhenus Projects Logistics, has now been a member of THLG for 15 years, congratulations again @Colin D'Abreo!

So what beats providing exclusive insights into the operation of the terminal directly on site? This way, it was possible to give the THLG an initial impression with a presentation of the terminal in preparation of the terminal tour to take place the following day!

In the evening, the THLG dinner event followed, at which Rhenus Project Logistics was honoured for its 15 years of loyal membership.

My highlight at the breakbulk 2022 was:

"The freedom to proactively engage with our valued clients, partners and like-minded professionals seated or standing in front of each other, enjoying the one on one discussions on the challenges we are facing in today’s complex global environment, being able to exchange ideas, confront concerns and even share a laugh and coffee together. Moreover the ability to meet and interact with our new Rhenus colleagues as well as to reconnect with the ones we know, thereby fortifying on the already established combined Global Rhenus Strengths in our Industry." - Colin D’Abreo

Tuesday: 17 May 2022

Today is the day of the official opening of #BBEU2022. The city is filling up, more colleagues are arriving and everyone is eagerly awaiting the opening after the forced break due to the pandemic.

?But the first highlight of the day was the visit to the Maasvlakte terminal together with the THLG. Together we explored and marvelled at the terminal, observing the safety regulations. Many thanks to our colleagues from Rhenus Logistics B.V. for the impressive tour!

My highlight at the breakbulk 2022 was:

"It was one big climax! Finally, the world’s biggest Breakbulk show was in Rotterdam our port, and Rhenus was everywhere! We really took the opportunity to show the world about Rhenus’s services." - Bart-Luc Olde Hanter

The fair is open! And what better way to end the first successful day with our customers than with a dinner cruise?

My highlight at the breakbulk 2022 was: "The engagement - after three years - with professionals from all walks of project logistics, especially our existing and potential customers some of whom spent a lot of time with us exploring opportunities to work together." - Ritesh Nair

The highlight of Wednesday was definitely the interview with Bart-Luc Olde Hanter in the Breakbulk Studios, which were proud to be permitted to sponsor this year! Who recognises the terminal in the background? ??
