Big things coming at the next DIY Robocars race in Oakland on Sept 21
There's less than a month to go before our Sept 21 event and this is one not to miss. Here's what we have planned for you:
- An epic "Clash of the Tiny Titans" race between the Amazon DeepRacer and the Nvidia JetRacer, livestreamed on Twitch
- The last race of the day will be "Human vs Robot". Representing Team Human will be Ross Robinson, The Defender Of Humanity
- New rules! All races will be "wheel-to-wheel" (two cars on the track) and there will now be an evil cone placed at a random place inside the track that imposes a 2-second penalty if hit. Also, cars are will now be racing in two classes: "Stock" (Donkey, JetRacer, DeepRacer, etc, with less than 7.5" wheelbase and under $400), and "Unlimited" (bigger and/or more expensive). All details here.
- CircuitLaunch's 2nd birthday party! That means even more free Brazilian BBQ and delish drinks.
- Plus all the usual fun, including a beginner track and some cool demos of new Lidars
As always, it's free and we have room for 400-500 folks.
PS, Circuit Launch is now offering access to the track for practice and training on any day, and special Build Days that you can sign up for here-
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
