A Big Step Forward for Texas Venture

Congratulations to Capital Factory and Station Houston on their announced merger.

The recently announced merger of Station Houston into the Capital Factory network is an enormously impactful event for all of Texas.

The team at Station Houston successfully built a home-grown Houston incubator from concept to reality. In doing, they created the center of gravity for innovation in Houston.

@JoshuaBaer 's #texasmanifesto is a powerful statement that Texas is better together. While each of our cities alone may lack necessary components to compete with coastal venture, together the Texas tool-belt is second to none.

This recent merger closes the Texas Triangle (Dallas, Houston and Central Texas) under the Capital Factory Banner. It represents a milestone in the #texasmanifesto mission to lift up the Texas Startup Ecosystem to its full potential. Better than ever, Mentors, Founders, Investors and Service Partners can work together to propel great ideas and build the future of not only Texas, but the world.

Last year J.P. Morgan in partnership with Capital Factory brought investors from all over the world to experience first hand the power of Texas startups, and the ecosystem built to support their missions (including J.P. Morgan Innovation Banking Teams across the state). We're proud to support founders and their startups, and are excited by this great advancement for Texas.

As a Houston native, a former Dallasite, and one that now calls Austin home, I'm happy to see the three cities better connected. And for someone who makes a living helping startups scale, I couldn't be more excited for the expanded potential this merger brings the entire venture community.

Congratulations to our friends at Capital Factory and to @JoshuaBaer for this major milestone.
