Big shoes to fill.

Someone mentioned to me about having to fill big shoes. This got me thinking about the many times I stepped into different shoes in 15 organisations over the span of 40 years. So many scenarios and stories with each role. I survived them all, some better than others.
Speaking of actual shoes, I have only worn sensible shoes, the flat and functional ones, for the last 5 years or more. Knee and old ankle injuries equal sneakers.
Coming back to the different shoes I have had to fill and how I survived. By wearing (metaphorically) adaptive shoes. Shoes that could help me run, skip and leap. I wore my own shoes and made the best of it everywhere I went.
The best shoes are your own ones and how best they work for you.
