• ????Cornell Tech is hosting a Board Governance Summit, on 10/31-11/4!! Learn how new technologies affect board responsibilities (i.e. AI, Cybersecurity, ESG), Learn from experts in the legal field, as well the tech field! (all converging on our Cornell Tech campus in NYC!)
• ???? Project B makes custom-fit bras based on body scan data. Project B uses phone to scan the body, computer vision to design the custom bra, and a 3-D knitting machine makes the bra on-demand.
• ???? Hispanic Heritage Month!! In 1993, Latino students took over Day Hall for 4 days, to protest the lack of resources available to Latino students, and the lack of Latino classes available to study.
• ???? Jennifer Tzemis ’96 was in the World Trade Center on 9/11, she studied in CALS, lived in Risley Hall (the arts dorm at Cornell). Risley has beautiful murals on the hallway walls, and after her passing, Risleyites made a mural in memory of her.
• ???? Weill Cornell Medicine, New Dean Welcome Event, the new Dean's first speech!! Bob Harrington is the new Dean for Cornell's medical school, he comes to us from Stanford's medical school, where he was Department of Medicine Dean!

Cornell Johnson Business School in NYC has 3 rooms that you can rent for the day, at their NYC location on Lexington and 51st, the rooms can be positioned as classroom style (all the desks facing the speaker) or discussion style (everyone facing each other in a circle). It is a good fit, if your company holds training classes, or has a large get-together!
• ???? Steven Raga, MBA '22, is NY State Assemblymember for the 30th District (Elmhurst Flushing area in Queens)! I attended the Community Health Fair he organized to keep his constituents healthy!!
• ???? Cornellian's art on display in the West Village!! Randee Mia Berman '74 sketches jazz musicians as they perform at NYC jazz clubs (Birdland, Mezzrow, 55 Bar)! She brings her pen and paper, sits at the bar, and makes 3 sketches through the course of a show
• ???? Ithaca Nonprofit Gala, held in NYC (big donors in NYC!!)!!! AFJ helps everyone visit their loved ones in prison! It is important that prisoners, even when incarcerated, can still see their spouse and kids and friends, but New York State puts prisons in Upstate New York, even if the families are in New York City (most don't have cars, so 14 hour bus ride with multiple transfers)
