Big recognition for Cosaco

Cosaco GmbH has been awarded a certificate for the successfully achieving ISO 45001 certification. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 45001 is a management systems of occupational health and safety (OHS). The objective of ISO 45001 is to ensure the safety of all employees through the reduction of occupational injuries and diseases, including promoting and protecting physical and mental health.

The certificate was granted by the German auditing authority, the “Berufsgenossenschaft Rohstoffe und chemische Industrie - BGRCI” (Accident Prevention and Insurance Association for Natural Resources and Chemical Industry). The auditors confirming that the Cosaco GmbH is successfully achieving all criteria of the ISO 45001 standards and the Association therefore grants their recognized and accredited seal of quality “Sicher mit System” (Safety with a system).

The award ceremony was held in Cosaco headquarters in Hamburg, with the participation of all colleagues who were involved in the preparation and execution of the audit and award. The certificate was handed over by representatives of the BG RCI. The BGRCI representative emphasized that Cosaco GmbH now belongs to the group of chemical industry companies which have been awarded with this certificate. “This certificate represents “Champions League” level for occupational health and safety.” Mr. Dirk Tatge, BGRCI, says.

Cosaco GmbH Managing Director Scott Boothey thanked all colleagues involved and reiterated the importance of Health & Safety and Environment matters to the entire business. “Today is a day for celebration and recognition – but this topic is relevant and of utmost importance every day and it is very positive that we do not rest on our prior good record, but that we seek to introduce new processes for continual improvement for the safety of our colleagues and the community”.
