The Big Picture
Living in Nigeria is an interesting art form, no one is spared from this collage of states and colourful mindsets, you choose who you want to be and hopefully make the very best of it. I chose the music route, it wasn’t my first choice but I was told to take the path that called out to me the loudest. Despite my major in Information Communication Technology, I leaned towards music with my entire weight and here I am.
The path to being successful wasn’t easy but I didn’t see the big deal in a bit of discomfort, I knew it was going to turn out great, heck everything in my life always has, it only takes a little patient to see the entire picture. There was a lot of free styling and figuring things out and that multiplied my time to ‘’make it’’ but boy was it an interesting ride.
Fast forward 13 years after the ‘startup’ and I’ve been through richness, lack and lost battles, I’ve travelled 4 continents, met great people, and made babies with one of them. I've made great decisions and not so juicy ones, but through it all I’ve learnt to always see these experiences as part of a bigger picture that can only be discovered through these waters.
Why am I telling you this? Well, I’ve entered a new phase of my life and career. You remember the patience I spoke about, well I’ve just walked into a door that has made all those amazing years really worth it. Apart from enjoying the next phase of my career, I will be dedicating my life to helping creatives in the music ecosystem who are willing to do it different, to follow uncharted paths and create their own cities and nations. Music & Tech Space my collaboration with Co-creation Hub will be a key driver to this vision (more of this later)
Never throw away your experiences, good or bad they are a part of something greater. I hope that someday your deepest questions get answered, in the meantime, keep moving forward because every step counts.
