Big News! I'm hosting my debut in-person networking event in London for the gift card, incentives and loyalty industry. The Big Handshake is here!

Welcome to my June newsletter. This one is a bit different as I'm inviting everyone to join me on Tuesday September 27th at 2pm in London for my debut in-person live event that I'm hosting with The Gift Club! It isn't a complimentary event to non-members of The Gift Club ( the entertainers and cocktails are costing a bomb ??) but the value will be high and I promise that you will leave exhilarated and satisfied that it was money well spent.

Firstly, why am I doing this crazy thing?

Well, because it is the next growth step for me personally and for The Gift Club. There is only one way to success and that is forward.

Hang on, remind me what The Gift Club is?

The Gift Club was founded by me in November 2020 when I realised that there wasn't a central place for companies around the world in this space to raise their profile and be seen by their peers, partners, clients, customers and potential employees on a global scale. There is a bigger story than this, but I'll save that for another day!

The Gift Club has since morphed into a membership organisation building a worldwide community of people and businesses associated with gift cards, incentives, rewards and loyalty.??It represents companies in their membership who wish to have more visibility and brand awareness?and be discovered by their international audience of over 10,000.??Their annual membership subscription benefits range from regular social media marketing, editorial and features in their fortnightly newsletter, a landing page in their unique and exclusive online business directory, invitations to virtual and in-person networking?meetings / events, inclusion?on their webinars and podcasts plus business introductions. It now has over 60 corporate members who are taking advantage of my network and growth opportunities The Gift Club offers in this field.

So What is The Big Handshake Event?

The Big Handshake is an in-person, live networking event taking place on Tuesday 27th September in London from 2pm to 6pm. It is bringing members and non-members of The Gift Club together to primarily relish?in some 'meaningful networking'. We are asking all ticket holders to complete a 'networking priority' form prior to the event so we can do some match-making magic behind the scenes to the event to ensure a higher chance of meaningful conversations between attendees during the event.

We expect over 80 guests from the UK, Europe and US?and we will have two short panel sessions with experts from loyalty, employee engagement, people behaviour and consumer and corporate gifting with lots of audience participation (we know this gets missed at these types of meetings sometimes). Of course, there is mind boggling entertainment, cocktails and canapes to finish off what we hope will be an effective afternoon!

What is the agenda? We are still working on it but this gives you a feel:

Agenda:

• 2:00 pm – registration & coffee / tea
• 2.20 pm – meaningful networking
• 3.20 pm – 2 x speaker / panels with audience participation
• 4.15 pm – meaningful networking
• 5:00 pm – cocktails, canapes and entertainment
• 6:00 pm – close

Panel / Audience Session One - "Employee engagement influences Customer Engagement"

They are not mutually exclusive and businesses of any kind should invest in driving customer and employee loyalty in tangent for ultimate business performance. We will all explore the opportunities of getting these two challenges in harmony.

Panel Session Two - - Fraud - it's a big topic and we're thinking of thrashing it out together from a gift card and loyalty perspective. TBC

How much are the tickets and where can I book?

Paying members of The Gift Club receive 1 x complimentary ticket. Tickets for non-members are currently discounted for Early Comers at ï¿¡150 ( ex VAT and fees) until 20th July. Ticket prices increase as time goes on Anyone employed by a retailer or a brand or have a profession in HR have further discounted ticket prices.
