Big little Moments
I believe stories have the power to change the world. What stories do you want to tell?
When Cameron Smith won the British Open he thanked the team of people who’d worked with him for “so many years” to achieve his goal. Seeing him raise the Claret Jug was a big moment of celebration but it was the countless little moments working on his swing, putting, and mental fortitude that got him to that big stage. And that’s useful to remember. Too often in society we see and celebrate the HUGE wins, EPIC accomplishments and MASSIVE followings while forgetting all about the little things it took to get there.
Whatever journey you’re on, don’t get discouraged if you haven’t had your Claret Jug moment yet. Stay focused on and enjoy the little moments of success and failure that combine to create something truly big.
Story Tip/Challenge:
Write down three little moments that led to a big accomplishment. They can be successes or learnings from failures. Share this with someone else and see what the conversation inspires in you and them.

All relationships are a series of moments strung together. Celebrating 25 years of marriage is a BIG accomplishment but it is the accumulation of little moments over 9125 days that tell the story. I’m lucky enough to have been one part of a pairing that has so far resulted in a delicious life and the image below is part of a series I create each year to celebrate our anniversaries together:
