The Big Importance of Small Businesses
While I’m in San Diego this weekend meeting with some of our strategic partners that we’ve had long term relationships with, I’m reminded of the value small businesses bring to their local communities and how DISH has a hand in helping these small businesses. Our partners that work to support and sell DISH, come from all parts of the country and represent small businesses who serve their local communities.
We’ve worked with many of these partners for decades and have come to know their businesses, families and communities. It’s great to see the younger generations now running those businesses and providing DISH services to our customers.
We work alongside them to provide DISH services to our customers, but there’s more to it. They are the pillars in their communities, enriching lives by creating jobs. Some of these jobs may be long lasting and some may be an opportunity for young people to develop as leaders and citizens and go out and do something different.
Additionally, a number of our partners have generous hearts and are remarkable citizens. They volunteer their time in their communities. Some are able to give financially to the community; one great example I’m reminded of is a partner of ours who donated a scoreboard to a local middle school gymnasium.
We were a small business that started with three people and have been fortunate to grow throughout the years. I’m grateful that a big business like DISH can have a positive impact on our partners as small businesses to support their development. Thank you to our partners and what you do for your communities and how you represent DISH positively to our customers.
