Like mushrooms after the rain, many fortune-tellers appear at the end of each year, with predictions and news about the New Year.?

The predictions of experts that come from their accumulated knowledge about the development of culture and society, technology and science, are mainly based on their familiarity with the historical and current aspects of human development. They also leverage?advanced tech to predict the future for us, and they often miss.?

There is another element that is going to change the face of the whole world in all its forms of development, including the ideological economy and the practical economy – it is called the human ego.

Between 1950 and 2010 the world went through a period of extraordinary development. These were very good times of prosperity and well-being.

From then until today we have entered the opposite trend for every citizen and the whole world: the negative gaps have grown, big dreams have shrunk, and our happiness has faded away.

Looking to the comforting future is no more than the present, as if there is nothing to look forward to: we have dismantled and emptied our little planet, the future no longer illuminates the way, our relationships are unbearable, the disconnection grows, and what could possibly be worse than the rising evil except that we learn nothing from it.?

Everything will be more difficult, until we really begin to understand what the ego is and how to deal with it properly.

I'm still hoping that the new civil year will really be a New Year where we start to take our situation seriously: we finally grasp that there is a very real problem that will keep taking humanity further down, and there will be no return to the good life until we deal with that problem. ?

In our time the ego has become so overwhelmed that we find it very difficult to communicate with each other, and it's no coincidence that our relationships have moved to the virtual realm. ?

Everything will be more difficult, until we really begin to understand what the ego is and how to deal with it properly. It is clear to all of us that change must happen, and it will not happen naturally. Right now the current situation is that the ego is taking over and controlling our lives. The new trend we will come to know and learn is how to control the ego and get it to serve us effectively.?

What does this have to do with business and the economy? It is related to all areas of life including the economy, since we have no other lever of development except the ego. To this day it has grown and increased in quantity, and we’re now entering a new era where it needs to grow in quality.?

What is the expression of this in a practical way? Our gradual transition from individualistic models to mutual models of reciprocity.

Life will be good only if we understand that it is up to us and we do good to each other. The problem is that everyone agrees to live a good life, but very few of us are willing to make the effort to change in reality.??
