Should you add the green banner to your profile or not?

Introduction

This one definitely seems to divide opinion, with some people either being far one way or the other. Who would of thought such a non descript LinkedIn feature could have caused so much dispute.

For those of you who have been under a rock or don’t use LinkedIn, the green banner is a feature that LinkedIn brought in to highlight the fact that you are ‘Open to Work’.

You will find lots of conflicting articles available supporting or dismissing the controversial LinkedIn feature, most of which are worth a read. However some are not worth your time and can be extremely poor advice and counter productive; these are written by short sighted under-qualified individuals who are either looking for click-bait or just don’t give a crap about people.
