Big Game Tonight - Don't Quit!

Only four times in 182 attempts has an NHL team come back to win a series when trailing 3-0.
Tonight my hometown Columbus Blue Jackets are facing this daunting task against the feisty Pittsburgh Penguins.
As I reflect on the Jackets’ situation, sometimes I think about how many of us may feel like at times we’re down 3-0 (not in a hockey series, but in life).
Maybe you’re facing a major hurdle with your business/job; maybe your relationship with a family member/friend is strained or not going as you had hoped; or maybe you’re simply struggling to find your “Why”.
No matter how impossible the situation appears, Don’t Quit. Often when I encounter difficult times, I read my original copy of the Don’t Quit poem given to me in 1986, by my high school football Coach Norm Eash (now Head Coach at Illinois Wesleyan University).
As I read my all-time favorite poem again this morning, I am grateful for all that I have in my life and truly know that when things seem worst that you must not quit. Just maybe the Jackets are reading this poem as well. One goal, one game at a time. Win the moment and move on!
Go Jackets!!!
