Big Fish Award

We celebrated a tremendous year of growth at PakSouth in 2017.  Thanks to the incredible team of employee’s, our customer partners, and one especially successful packaging professional.  Dana Hamrick, is our 2017 “Big Fish” award recipient for an excellent job reeling in the big ones.

Dana uncovered packaging savings of over 30% for a major gear manufacturer in SC.  The customer goals were reduce packaging material costs, develop efficient packaging methods, all without compromising product protection.  Introducing new technologies and processes we were able to significantly reduce packaging costs, improve labor efficiencies, and provide better product protection.

After a detailed analysis of their operation and packaging requirements we knew we had the right solution!  We introduced NewAir inflatable packaging and semi-automatic sheeting systems from Sealed Air to replace the Ranpak paper systems currently used.  We installed test systems at no charge and conducted value analysis over several months resulting in $50,000 annual material savings alone with increased output and reduced labor costs.   

Dana’s efforts exemplify our approach to helping our customers and just one of many successes she achieved in 2017.
