Big change ahead!

Be on the lookout for big changes in the next few weeks! 

If you have been following my company Begin Within, you know we do ALL the things! We have provided career coaching and resume writing services for the private and public sector, we are professional recruiters that place high performers in great positions with top-rated companies, and we have taught workshops and courses  on a variety of career topics including LinkedIn, USAJOBS resume writing, military spouse employment, interviewing and more. 

As a company, we’ve grown and had a lot of successes. In 2019, we received the “#1 Military Spouse Owned Business” award through Military and Veteran Community Choice Awards. More importantly, 100% of our clients obtained positions and we’re still doing backflips of joy for them! In 2020 however, we’re charging full speed ahead at what we do best. We are focusing our energy on a single service offering, staffing and recruiting. 

We are a small, military spouse and woman-owned company. In order to scale and create maximum impact for our clients, we have decided to simplify because our small team is spread thin. As we grow, grow and grow some more, we’ve realized that being AVERAGE at all the things is no bueno! We want to be GREAT at one thing! 

I am leaning in, re-organizing, and pooling our resources with the goal of becoming the best staffing and recruiting firm owned by a military spouse!

Our areas of specialty:

• Placing candidates from the military community including military spouses, veterans and their dependents. 
• Partnering with defense contractors located on or near military installations both in the US and overseas. 
• Sourcing and headhunting candidates for hard to fill positions requiring advanced skills, qualifications and clearances.

Changes you will see within the next few weeks:

• We are registering as a government approved “set aside” to work with defense contractors. 
• We will become certified as: Woman Owned Business WOB, Woman Owned Small Business WOSB, Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business EDWOSB, and as a HUBZone business. 

In part, these changes are happening because I served in the Army and I am an active duty military spouse. In my gut, I felt icky when charging members of the military community for career coaching and resume writing services. NOW, our staffing and recruiting services will be at zero cost to the jobseeker! I’m very proud to serve jobseekers for free going forward.
