Recently, Kimball Hughes PR President Rod Hughes was a guest on the Leading Change Podcast, hosted by Ema Roloff , a digital transformation consultant helping businesses to transform their sales processes to better engage consumers.
The subject of the interview was the ongoing challenges of the insurance industry’s image problem and how insurers could better approach this issue.
In his interview, Hughes talked about the importance of insurers better connecting with millennials and Gen Z – the largest population of emerging insurance consumers. He discussed the roadblocks insurers face with these consumers due to complex language or jargon the industry uses, as well as the friction created by a lack of clear consumer understanding of insurance and its benefits. Additionally, Hughes mentioned other barriers to improving the insurer-consumer connection including a lack of transparency around the products and services offered and the insurance industry’s risk-averse approach to presenting itself differently to the next generation of insurance consumers.
But there are solutions, which Hughes and Roloff addressed in the 16-minute podcast interview. For more details, check out the interview via this link.
