Biden DOJ Crossed Political Rubicon With Trump Indictment
In Bloomberg, Robert Delahunty and I argue that crossing the Rubicon of prosecuting a former President should meet a high bar. We question whether the special counsel's indictment rises to the level of the crimes set out in the Impeachment Clause, which Hamilton thought could provide the grounds for the later prosecution of ex-Presidents.
"The Biden administration crossed a constitutional Rubicon this week. For the first time in our history, federal prosecutors have charged a former president. Also for the first time in our history, an executive branch held by the incumbent political party indicted the leading presidential candidate of the other main political party. President Joseph Biden has taken a fateful step about which even Richard Nixon did not dare to dream."
Trump broke the law. Period. Although Biden has nothing to do with the laws Trump broke and he sure didn't try to overthrow the government and kill his VP.

1 年Zelensky, Boris Jonson and Von Der Leyen: here are those who did not want peace in March 2022. Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with African leaders, showed the draft of the Istanbul treaty on the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, stating that the authorities of Kiev have thrown everything into the dustbin of history. Accomplices Boris Johnson and Ursula Von Der Leyen who, once the talks began, rushed to Kyev organizing the Bucha staging and sponsoring unlimited propaganda against Russia and, in fact, peace. History must begin to mark the names of those who are throwing Europe towards an avoidable and artfully fueled conflict.
