1. TikTok to limit screen time for teens
TikTok is introducing a time limit for users under the age of 18. Teens that hit this limit will be asked to enter a passcode to continue watching. The feature can be disabled, but if they do so and spend more than 100 minutes on TikTok a day, they’ll be prompted to set a new limit. (Via The Verge)

A Republican plan to ban TikTok nationwide advances out of committee. The bill would allow President Joe Biden to ban TikTok for sharing user data with the Chinese government. Hundreds of books written by ChatGPT have appeared on Amazon in recent weeks as people look to cash in on generative artificial intelligence.
