Bid Writer/Tender Writer

Due to continued growth, DSS is recruiting for a dedicated, experienced, and inventive, individual to join the team as a Bid Writer, working on a full-time basis within the DSS Marketing & Business Development Team.

Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, and engaged with the operational management team, your role will be to create a compelling narrative for focused bids, including the planning and preparation of responses to qualitative questions associated with prospective contract specifications.

An understanding of the security industry would be beneficial, although not essential, as the Company will provide all necessary training and guidance as a key aspect of its “One Team” approach to achieving the highest of standards.

DSS is looking for:

• Previous experience as a Bid Writer, or an inherent ability to write effectively
• An individual able to operate at maximum speed, but with a focus on detail

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing the DSS new-business Pipeline to identify relevant tender opportunities
• Demonstrating a thorough understanding of individual contract service specifications, evaluation criteria, and other relevant tender documentation
• Completing Standard Questionnaires (SQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
• Writing persuasive, compelling, clear, and concise bespoke content in response to Invitation to Tenders (ITT's)
• Managing and continuously improving the Bid library
• Collating documentation to support, continuously improve, Bid submissions
• Working closely with, and gathering information from, internal subject-matter experts
