Bid Writer
Sentri Group are currently working with an award-winning Main Contractor who operate across London and the Home Counties who are looking to appoint a Bid Writer / Submissions Manager to work from their London office.
As the Bid Writer / Submissions Manager, you will work very closely with the Business Development Director and Preconstruction team on schemes throughout London up to £50m in value, across Commercial, Leisure, Education, Residential and Mixed-Use sectors.
Role
As the Bid Writer you will co-ordinate and produce the proposal responses whilst assembling a proposal team with the relevant service / product / business knowledge required to win. Responsibilities include introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and processes. This role requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.
Duties
- Responsible for developing a bid response structure, reviewing, and editing content where necessary, working with other bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation content in line with deadlines.
- Analysing the Client’s information and associated material to produce win strategy / themes with the Tender / Business Development teams
- Listen to internal client’s needs, aspirations and agree a brief for yourself that reflects these
- Preparing and agree writing plans that fully satisfy the win strategy and client’s assessment criteria
- Identifying the service / technical / business experts / knowledge required to assist in the development of bids and proposals
- Researching clients, competitors, technical bodies, and internal subject matter experts to produce information that can be directly used to prepare responses or facilitate responses
- Searching, editing, and updating / adding information from previous bids and other sources to use as basis for planning and writing responses
- Writing bespoke responses to specific areas, questions, and topics with a clear and engaging style
- Commissioning responses from subject matter experts, conducting interviews if required
- Contributing to the production of a deliverable schedule with the internal client
- Attending meetings e.g. start-up / weekly planning meetings as required
Client Database & Meetings & Presentations
- Continue building Client Database with accurate information on all organisations & contacts on our ‘Salesforce’ software.
- Good knowledge of ‘InDesign’
- Attend meetings with the Business Development Director, when required
- Gather general information to build up portfolio for presentations and marketing purposes
The client is seeking to appoint an individual who is proven within a Bid Writer role and has a track record of larger projects, coupled with a stable employment history gained working for recognised main contractors.
