1?I will a sing of the graciousness of the Lord forever;
To all generations I will b make Your c faithfulness known with my mouth.
2?For I have said, “a Graciousness will be built up forever;
In the heavens You will establish Your b faithfulness.”
3?“I have made a covenant with a My chosen;
I have b sworn to My servant David,
4?I will establish your 1 a descendants forever
And build up your b throne to all generations.”

5?The a heavens will praise Your wonders, Lord;

Who among the 1 b sons of the mighty is like the Lord,

And c awesome above all those who are around Him?

Your faithfulness also surrounds You.

When its waves rise, You a calm them.

19?1 Once You spoke in vision to Your godly 2 ones,
And said, “I have 3 given help to one who is a mighty;
I have exalted one b chosen from the people.
20?“I have a found My servant David;
With My holy b oil I have anointed him,
21?With whom a My hand will be established;
My arm also will b strengthen him.
22?“The enemy will not 1 deceive him,
Nor will the 2 a son of wickedness afflict him.
23?“But I will a crush his adversaries before him,
And strike those who hate him.
24?“My a faithfulness and My favor will be with him,
And in My name his b horn will be exalted.
25?“I will also place his hand a on the sea,
And his right hand on the rivers.
26?“He will call to Me, ‘You are a my Father,
My God, and the b rock of my salvation.’
27?“I will also make him My a firstborn,
The b highest of the kings of the earth.
28?“I will maintain My a favor for him forever,
And My b covenant shall be confirmed to him.
29?“So I will establish his 1 a descendants forever,

30?“If his sons a abandon My Law
And do not walk in My judgments,
31?If they 1 violate My statutes
And do not keep My commandments,
32?Then I will punish their wrongdoing with the a rod,
And their guilt with 1 afflictions.
33?“But I will not 1 withhold a My favor from him,
Nor deal falsely in My faithfulness.
34?“I will not 1 violate My a covenant,
Nor will I b alter 2 the utterance of My lips.
35?“1 Once I have a sworn by My holiness;
I will not lie to David.
36?“His 1 a descendants shall endure forever,
And his b throne c as the sun before Me.
37?“It shall be established forever a like the moon,

Revelation From God
Author
All of The authors of the Psalms are unknown, we know that Moses wrote (1), David (73), Solomon (2), the sons of Korah (11, including one to which the name of Heman is also attached), Asaph (12), and Ethan (1) it is possible that others also wrote some of the Psalms, as well!!!!
The author of Ps 89 is Ethan the Ezrahite One of David’s singers along with Asaph (1 Chr 15:19). Ethan is also described as a wise man (1 Kgs 4:31).11?John D. Barry et al., Faithlife Study Bible (Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press, 2012, 2016), Ps 89:title.
Date
The date of the Psalms covers from the Exodus, roughly 1300 BC through the return of the exiles, 586ish some 800 years.
The date of Ps 89 is not given to us, but it must be during a time of trial for King David and Isreal perhaps when David is fleeing Jerusalem from his son Absolom, 2 Sam 15:13-17:22!!!!
