Proverbs 24:16 “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.”
Winston Churchill is quoted as saying, “Success is moving from one failure to another without losing enthusiasm.”
Everyone us has experienced days of falling or failure. The key to success is recognizing that failure isn’t final. A failure does not make you a failure, it is rather a stepping stone to success. Don’t allow a failure to define you as an individual.
Thomas Edison had 1,093 US patents, the most well-known being the light bulb. He failed 1,000 in his attempts at the invention. He was asked by a reporter, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
It is a simple fact if you attempt nothing you will have few failures. But the more you attempt the more failures you will have. Learn from the failure and rise up again. Keep pushing forward and attempting big things.
Sin is the same way. If the Apostle Paul was correct in calling himself the “Chief of Sinners”, we all fall and fail in our attempt to do the right thing. Once again don’t let your sin define who you are. Get up and do the right thing. “If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9
When you fall get up and keep going. Keep your enthusiasm and passion alive until you get it right!!!
