Aside from the demolishment and renovation works that were carried out, mechanical, electrical and full fire protection works were also completed.

BHA completed the works in 4 months, using the stunning designs supplied by CDP Architecture.

Mental Health Awareness Month

At BHA, we believe that our greatest asset is not just the buildings we construct, but the people who build them. That's why, during this years Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to emphasise the importance of taking care of our mental well-being as much as our physical safety on the job site.

Construction can be a challenging industry, with long hours, demanding deadlines, and physical exertion. It's easy to overlook the toll it can take on our mental health. But just like we prioritise safety gear and training, we must also prioritise mental health support and resources.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let's continue to break the stigma surrounding mental health and prioritise our well-being. Remember, it's okay not to be okay, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Together, we can build not only great structures but also stronger minds.

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has a 24/7 construction industry helpline that offers free and confidential support and advice.

Its Okay to Ask for Help

In the construction industry, it can be easy for for things to quickly become overwhelming. But it is important to remember, you're not alone.

Here are some ways you can reach out for help within BHA and the wider construction community:

Talk to Your Co-Workers: Reach out to your co-workers or supervisors whom you trust and feel comfortable talking to about your mental health concerns. They may offer support, understanding, and guidance.

Utilise Online Resources: Explore online mental health resources and forums outside of the construction industry. You can find valuable information, support, and connections with others facing similar challenges. Counselling services such as Good 2 Talk( https://itsgood2talk.ie/ ) and BetterHelp offer affordable and confidential counselling services.

Utilise the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity : BHA are proud supporters of The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and?financial well-being support to construction workers and their families. They have a 24/7 construction industry helpline that offers free and confidential support and advice.

Remember, seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Take care of your mental health, and know that help is available if and when you need it.

When we take care of ourselves, we can build anything.

Its Okay to Take a Break

As we welcome the warmer weather and Mental Health Awareness Month, let's remember the importance of taking breaks for our well-being.

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives both on and off site, it's easy to overlook the significance of downtime. However, taking breaks is essential for maintaining our mental health and overall happiness, especially as we navigate busy schedules and demanding responsibilities.

As we begin to embrace the longer days and sun-filled evenings of summer, let's make a commitment to prioritise self-care. Whether it's going for a walk after work, reading a good book, or simply taking a few moments to take a deep breath, taking breaks allows us to recharge and reconnect with ourselves.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let's remind ourselves and others of the importance of incorporating regular breaks into our routines. Let's encourage each other to pause, rest, and prioritise our mental well-being.

Together, let's make self-care a priority as we embark on the summer months ahead.
