BGP Route Reflector
BGP Route Reflectors simplify network configuration and improve scalability by allowing iBGP routers to advertise routes learned from iBGP neighbors. This eliminates the need for a full mesh topology and reduces the number of peerings required. However, Route Reflectors create a single point of failure, which can be avoided by clustering multiple Route Reflectors. There are three types of iBGP routers: Route Reflectors, Route Reflector clients, and Route Reflector non-clients. The Route Reflector follows specific rules in route propagation to avoid routing loops.
