BGIS Ottawa - Epic Walk Time
It was an Epic Day! On Sept 16th, the ‘Itty Bitty *** Committee’ walked 28 km around the city of Ottawa to raise funds for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Over the past 10 years their team has raised over $360K. It has been invested in early cancer detection and local cancer care in the community.
Everyone has their own reason for wanting to give back. There are so many individuals, and families, dealing with cancer every day and we believe helping to find a cure is important. Shorter wait times, access to care, quality of life and research are all part of helping survivors and their families through the long and scary road they must travel. The money raised at the Epic Walk will be invaluable in continuing to meet these goals.
We are humbled by the generosity of our donors and very proud of what we have been able to contribute in support of cancer survivor-ship.
