INSPIRATION:

Our inspiration this month comes from our member Anmol Oberoi , CEO and Co-founder of Emitrr .?

He says life is all about finding what you can be a master at.?

“Though the saying might be ‘A jack of all trades is the master of none, but I would rather be a jack of all trades than the master of one.’?

This is different for most scenarios. A master of one is always better suited than a jack of all trades in every domain.”

Anmol also sheds light on something significant - taking reversible risks when one is young.?

“People should take reversible risks. If you have an idea that you think can be the next unicorn, don’t be afraid to leave your job. What’s the worse that can happen? If you fail, you can go to another job. In the end, it will always work out.?

Early in your days, don’t be stable. Take risks, figure out what ignites your passion, and then stick to that.”

FACTS:

“Employees who sit near the window have a lower rate of absenteeism.”

According to a study, 75% of people prefer working in natural lighting.?

This fact acts as our foundation for creating workspaces that have a great UX. While designing and building the Tekion India Headquarters , we prioritized maximum utilization of the natural lighting available in the space. Most of the workstation inside the space is designed to be in a naturally lit area. They are placed perpendicular to the windows making sure that there’s ample natural light while making sure there is no glare on the screens.?

Hi! TECH:?

Technology is fascinating, and AI is already changing the way we work. Companies are implementing AI into their products to create powerful solutions.

Here are two up-and-coming apps that are worth checking out:

Fold: Fold allows its users to connect their bank accounts to the app and help them understand spending at a granular level. Using fold, one can bucket their daily transactions into several categories like travel, household bills, investments, shopping, medical, and many more. Once tagged, all future transactions get automatically tagged into these categories!?

They aim to help their users make better decisions and lead a healthier financial life. Fold’s tagline ‘Be painfully aware’ encompasses this perfectly.

If This Then That(IFTTT): If This Then That (IFTTT) is an automation tool that seamlessly connects different apps and experiences. You can set up a range of different automation in IFTTT, from everyday tasks to more niche occurrences. For example, you can have Google add a reminder to your calendar if it’s going to rain tomorrow or set a reminder to drink more water. If you want to get creative, you can also do things like set it up to get a notification about how bad the traffic is before setting out for work.?

This app helps you automate repetitive tasks, which ultimately gives you more time to focus on other, more important aspects of your work.?

Tips 4 YOU:?

YOU are the most essential part of your life and this newsletter, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything you have achieved. For this edition of the newsletter, we are focusing on work prioritization that will help you roll up your sleeves and get the most work done. Let us introduce you to Eisenhower's Urgent-Important Matrix.

The matrix categorizes tasks into four quadrants based on two dimensions: urgency and importance.

Eisenhower's Urgent-Important Matrix

1. Urgent and Important - These tasks are both time-sensitive and crucial. They require immediate attention and should be dealt with promptly. Examples include pressing deadlines, crises, or important issues that need immediate resolution.

2. Not Urgent but Important - Tasks in this quadrant are significant and contribute to long-term goals, personal growth, and success. They may not have immediate deadlines, but they require proactive planning and investment of time. Examples include strategic planning, skill development, building relationships, and preventive measures.

3. Urgent but Not Important - Tasks in this quadrant appear urgent but do not contribute significantly to your long-term goals. They are often distractions and interruptions that can consume valuable time if not managed properly. Examples include unscheduled meetings, unimportant emails, and other people's urgent but low-priority requests.

4. Not Urgent and Not Important - Tasks in this quadrant are time-wasting activities that offer little or no value. They can include excessive social media usage, aimless web surfing, or unproductive leisure activities. It's best to minimize or eliminate these tasks from your schedule.

The goal of the Eisenhower Matrix is to prioritize tasks in Quadrant 1 (urgent and important) while dedicating time to Quadrant 2 (not urgent but important) activities to prevent tasks from becoming urgent crises. By focusing on important tasks and minimizing time spent on less significant activities, you can improve your productivity.

Here’s how you use the Eisenhower Matrix: -?

  1. Start by listing all your tasks and activities.?
  2. Place each item in the appropriate quadrant based on its urgency and importance. This will ensure that you have categorized everything based on priority.?
  3. Allocate your time and effort accordingly, ensuring that Quadrant 1 tasks are dealt with promptly, and you dedicate sufficient time to Quadrant 2 activities to prevent them from becoming urgent.
  4. After everything in Quadrant 1 and Quadrant 2 is sorted, you can check out Quadrant 3.?
