Take, for instance, the story of Lonah Joy Ang'ana, a CorpsAfrica/Kenya volunteer, who felt disconnected from her community. Her community has been letting her down every step of the way. They would make promises, then only a few would hold up to them. When she started her project, she thought it would be different..To her surprise, she found 20 strong men and women, fully dedicated and happy to see her. Their faces were bright and promising washed on hers, and she doesn't remember the last time she felt that she wasn’t alone.
