Beyond Logic: The Subtle Art of Shifting Perception

"Why Fiction Holds the Key to Understanding What sometimes Logic Can’t Explain."

There is a famous photon observation experiment that reveals the quantum nature of reality. When left unobserved, particles behave like waves, moving in an unpredictable, fluid pattern. But the moment they are observed through a logical filter, they collapse into particles, following a structured, predictable distribution. This suggests that, at the molecular level, reality is not fixed?—?it is shaped by observation.

The same can be said about our experiences in life. A single event can unfold in dramatically different ways depending on our attitude. One person walks into a room with confidence and gets a “yes” where others have received a “no.” The scenario remains unchanged; the difference lies in the energy brought into it.

This often happens on a subconscious level, but the good news is: it can be altered. The winner’s effect is a well-documented phenomenon?—?success breeds more success. A single victory can shift someone’s self-perception, creating a ripple effect where winning becomes the norm. And so it continues, unless some external or internal factor disrupts the flow.

Mastering Unconditionality

This is where the concept of unconditionality comes in. What does it mean? Simply put, we have the ability to control how we react and how the external world affects us. Just as our observation shapes how particles behave, our mental structures define how reality unfolds before us. Being unconditional means mastering our perspective?—?understanding our own emotional triggers and choosing our responses rather than reacting impulsively.

Lao Tzu once said, “You are controlled by the one who makes you angry.”

When you grasp this, everything starts to make sense.

There are two essential realizations here:

  1. We are playing a character by default. This character has been programmed to react in certain ways to certain stimuli. The media, the market, and even people trained in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) understand this well. The more predictable we are, the easier we are to manipulate. But this doesn’t mean we have to abandon our character?—?it can serve us well in the right situations. The key is knowing when to use it and when to step beyond it.
  2. We must know how to exit the game at will. This requires stepping outside our habitual patterns of perception. There are many ways to do this, but all involve either complete silence or an intense enough stimulus to shake us out of the box we’ve learned to live in?—?and often love.

Beyond the Mind, Beyond?Duality

There’s nothing wrong with staying inside the framework of our programmed mind. We can enjoy who we are, how we think, and how we navigate the world. But it’s important to remember that this is always a limited perspective?—?one defined by opposites: good and bad, pleasant and unpleasant. Until we step outside that cave of conditioned perception, we will never fully grasp how everything is interconnected, nor will we understand the subtle dance between opposites.

For me, meditation is the most effective path toward this awareness. Every day, I remind myself that life is a vast and intricate game, and that I have the freedom to choose which side of the force I align with.

The Paradox of Explaining the Unexplainable

The more we try to define these concepts, the more they slip through our fingers. True understanding is like holding sand?—?you can watch it sparkle in the sunlight as it slips away, returning to the very source from which it came.

Whish you a great journey,
