Beyond Extreme States
In my most recent blog, I shared a 'P.S.' featuring news of the 24th WhyPowered client friend to join the winner circle of those shedding 50 pounds or more without dieting, injections or anything extreme.
I just realized I've not introduced you to our winner circle addition #23!? Bruce became a proud WhyPowered winner circle member a number of months ago?and while he doesn't fit the 'woman in midlife' typical WhyPowered client profile, his story is so inspiring. When Bruce and I first began our coaching partnership, he shared that his biggest food challenge was turning to chips and cheese in times of stress. ?He was often running on empty, in extreme states, shorting himself on sleep just trying to keep up with heavy work demands. While he wasn't miserable in his body and didn't have catastrophic health markers to work on, he was feeling his age in sports. He felt like he had a 'dad bod' and he wanted to age with more intention and be a positive role model for his son. ?
"I'd quietly seen the number on the scale go up over the years. It was distressing and I'd tried lots of things that would give me fast results. But they turned out to just be temporary results,' shared Bruce.? ?? When Bruce found his WhyPower, he began shifting his daily habits, taming stress and got his life into consistently better balance. As that happened, his daily energy increased as the numbers on scale went down. "The journey to my healthier self wasn't a quick fix, but who I became along the way made it so worthwhile. I know because it took time to shift, it's truly lasting change. And those chips and cheese? They no longer control me." ?
