BEYOND EXCITEMENT

BEYOND EXCITEMENT

Hey there!

Welcome to the second edition of WONDER ?

We're thrilled to have you here today as we’re ready to start sharing more about who we are and how we do things around here.

Our philosophy of work, if you will. Except we never call it a philosophy.

Instead, we call it what it is: Excitement ??

Now, we know everyone in our field says they're an excited bunch. But trust us, we've searched high and low for a better word to describe us, and nothing else quite fits.

But here’s the thing, we believe is what we do with it that makes a difference.

BEYOND THE EXCITEMENT

So, in this edition, we'll give you a glimpse of how we use our excitement to our advantage and what great things come out of it. Sounds good?

Caution: while it may feel like a quick and superficial overview of what we’re about, we promise, with each new edition, we will explore every one of these topics (team, creativity, work) in more depth.

Alright, let’s dive in!

WHAT WE’RE MADE OF

We believe it’s essential to join forces with talents who are just as contagiously enthusiastic about what they do as we are.

But it's not just about being excited; it's about having the hunger and drive to actively explore what excites and evolves us. That's the real wonder we're after.

Assembling this dream team wasn't easy, but today we can confidently say that we've brought together a powerful group of multidisciplinary talents who enjoy hanging out together and are eager to collaborate, challenge each other and explore their excitement daily. It’s a great mix of humans (and doggos) that we'll definitely introduce to you over time.

But for now, here’s a recent example of how our team surprised us with a Christmas loop that came out of one spontaneous late-evening idea.

CREATIVITY AT PLAY

Creativity and excitement are valuable resources that shouldn’t be taken for granted. They need to be nurtured and encouraged.

We hold internal weekly sessions called Playgrounds, where we invite our curiosity to come forward and let our team let loose and have fun on a weekly basis. It’s a time we consider to be an investment into the future of our team and its potential.

Think of it as a creativity gym where our team can flex their artistic muscles and explore new passions. Whether it's learning a new skill, testing out a new tool, or diving into a new concept, we believe in the power of play and experimentation to spark innovation. And sometimes, what excites us can be completely different from what we're currently working on. But that's how new ideas have a chance to come in!

Here is a recent idea we enjoyed exploring:

We also understand the importance of staying inspired and informed to fuel our creativity. That's why we encourage our teams to attend lectures and conferences anywhere in the world. In 2022, we visited 9 conferences in various fields like Design or Start-ups.

While we believe that attending these conferences can always teach us something new, after going through so many of them, we've come to realize that some conferences are truly inspirational and amazing. Others? Not as much.

Want to know which ones we recommend? Stay tuned for our upcoming newsletters, where we'll share our thoughts and recommendations.

In the meantime, check out this quick showreel from the OFFF in Barcelona (spoiler alert - recommended!):

WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK

Last but certainly not least, we have our clients and projects.

We're always on the lookout for exciting projects to sink our teeth into, and lately, we've been having a blast working on game design and 3D projects. There's nothing quite like taking our clients' ideas and turning them into something truly special.

One of the best things about Wonder Makers is that our excitement for a project is contagious. We make sure our clients are just as excited about the process as we are, from sharing the initial idea to bringing it to life.

We don't want to give away all of our secrets, but we always deliver something extra special — something beyond what's expected. That's how we landed our most recent client, which we can't wait to share more about soon!

SOMETHING EXTRA

So, you’ve read (or scrolled) all your way through here!

Talking about always adding something extra - based on this newsletter’s edition, during this week’s Playground, one of our designers created a special poster that you can print and hang on your wall.
