At RA International, we take pride in prioritising the well-being of our employees, clients and the communities we serve at all times. A key aspect of this commitment is to ensure the food we provide is safe for consumption and retains its nutritious value. We understand that food safety is non-negotiable, which is why we've implemented stringent measures at every stage, from warehouse to plate.

Our practices are deeply rooted in a robust regulatory framework. We adhere to internationally recognised standards such as ISO 22000:2018, which guides our comprehensive food safety management system. We proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards through HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) principles, and our commitment to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guarantees hygienic food production and handling. Furthermore, we align ourselves with UN Food Safety Standards, the US FDA Food Code, and UK Food Standards Agency Guidance, ensuring a globally recognised benchmark for our operations.

Beyond compliance, our commitment to food safety translates into action and is integrated into our operations. There are 3 main touchpoints in our food storage and logistics:

  1. Warehouse Management: Our warehouses are meticulously managed, with designated temperature-controlled zones for frozen, chilled, and dry goods. We enforce a strict First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation system, minimising spoilage and maximising freshness. Our kitchens operate with the same unwavering commitment to safety. Refrigerator and freezer temperatures are consistently monitored. Raw and ready-to-eat foods are strictly separated to eliminate cross-contamination risks. We ensure that our staff undergo rigorous training in safe food handling techniques, including proper ?defrosting procedures.
  2. Safe Transportation: Transporting food safely is also a critical aspect of our operations. We utilise temperature-controlled vehicles and insulated containers to ensure optimal temperatures during transit. Even loading and unloading are conducted swiftly to minimise exposure to uncontrolled environments, and our robust packaging further safeguards food against damage and contamination.
  3. Proactive Operations: Throughout the process, clear documentation ensures complete traceability. Pest control is paramount throughout, and we maintain a spotless environment through regular cleaning and disinfection.
