Blink will mark its return to the urban core this October – expanding to Newport for the first time –?but for the marketing agency behind the light and art festival, it’s just one in a running list of unique and “crazy” activations.
Co-founders Josh Heuser and Andrew Salzbrun launched Agar in 2009. In addition to Blink – Cincinnati’s largest tourism event – the agency has done work for the likes of 宝洁 and All Nippon Airways, one of Japan’s largest airlines.?
In this week’s?Courier?cover story, Managing Editor Andy Brownfield peels back the onion on Agar, and how its work is helping put the Queen City on the map.

A new Castellini at the top: Reds name next CEO in pair of organizational changes
The?Cincinnati Reds?have made a pair of changes at the top of the organization, including tapping a new CEO.
Phil Castellini, president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. Doug Healy, the Reds’ current executive vice president and chief financial officer, has been named to the dual role of chief operating officer and CFO.
The moves, announced late July 31, took effect Aug. 1.
Bob Castellini, who has served as CEO for the Cincinnati Reds since 2006 – after he acquired a majority stake in the club – retains control and managerial responsibility over all business and baseball operations.

Katz Teller focuses primarily on legal issues in the areas of corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, domestic relations, litigation, tax and estate planning. By adding the Herndon Group, the firm will be able to provide more full-spectrum services to its clients with needs in commercial real estate.

Former Ohio National CEO Barbara Turner launches Cincinnati company
When?Barbara Turner left her role as CEO of Montgomery-based Ohio National Financial Services Inc.?in November 2022 in the wake of it being acquired, she didn’t know what she would do next.
But she quickly found a niche for her second act.
Turner launched BT Rise last year as a Greater Cincinnati company that helps under-resourced populations – largely women and minorities – across the region to succeed and reach financial independence. The company provides money and resources to people who are starting businesses, building them or trying to pay for higher education.

French Toast Heaven, known for its French toast flights, is also building out a location in Northern Kentucky.
