Resilience is a powerful trait that can shape our lives and lead us to incredible achievements.
As a child, I had big dreams of becoming three things in life - a Phys Ed teacher, a world champion, and a mother.
At 11, my mother found me holding an imaginary trophy above my head.
You can achieve anything if you believe in yourself and stay determined.
Becoming a Phys Ed teacher was my first milestone.
Teaching allowed me to inspire others to achieve their potential and fostered a love for fitness and health.
However, my ambitions didn't stop there.
Inspired by Bruce Lee films, I ventured into martial arts, determined to excel in a field dominated by discipline and perseverance.
I vividly remember my first karate class, standing among 40 other students in the dojo.
The instructor's words echoed in the room: ‘Look around, only two of you will ever get a black belt.’
Rather than feeling discouraged, I stood tall, determined to find companionship on this journey.
Four and a half years later, I proudly tied that black belt around my waist.
The feeling of exhilaration and pride that washed over me cannot be described in words.
I went on to win not just one, but five karate world championships.
In those moments, I felt truly alive and invincible.
My accomplishments on the martial arts stage brought me into the spotlight.
Following my victory on series two of Gladiators, I was offered a role as Glacier on the show.
But when my boss denied time off for filming, I decided to quit.
No amount of 9-to-5 security could dim my light or extinguish my passion.
With my focus shifted to personal training, doors began to open.
Transitioning to personal training was a significant turning point in my life.
I worked with celebrity clients like Russell Crowe and Shane Warne, which was an incredible experience.
It taught me the importance of personalised training and the impact of a dedicated fitness regime.
However, despite these high-profile clients, I still felt something was missing.
I realised that my true calling was to help people on a deeper level.
I started helping others build businesses, showing them hard work, determination, and resilience.
You can achieve your business goals with the tools and support you need to succeed.
Finding your purpose is essential to living a fulfilling life.
For me, it was about moving beyond personal achievements and focusing on empowering others.
This shift not only filled the void I felt but also brought immense joy and satisfaction into my life.

Opportunities for growth and learning: Does your role offer challenges that help you develop and keep things interesting? 3. Work-life balance: Can you maintain a healthy separation between work and personal life to avoid burnout? 4. Positive work environment: Do you have supportive colleagues and a good relationship with your manager? 5. Sense of purpose: Does your work feel like it contributes to something bigger than yourself?
