I help organizations and individuals increase productivity by expressing their creativity
In a world increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence (AI), the importance of human skills like critical thinking and creativity cannot be overstated. These abilities are essential in the age of AI, drawing from both personal academic experiences and broader societal implications.
Critical Thinking: The Key to True Understanding
At UC-Berkeley, the struggle with academic performance highlighted a key flaw in the education system: the reliance on rote memorization. This method, effective for passing exams, often falls short in fostering true understanding. Critical thinking involves a shift from mere knowledge absorption to active engagement in the learning process, a skill vital in today's AI-driven world.
The Cognitive Benefits of Asking Questions
Engaging in the art of asking questions is a pivotal aspect of critical thinking. This process involves challenging established assumptions, elaborating on various ideas, and applying knowledge across diverse contexts. Such an approach unveils the multifaceted nature of knowledge, illustrating how elements that might seem irrelevant in one scenario can be crucial in another. A personal example of this occurred while writing this article. I employed AI to reverse roles and ask me questions. This strategy not only provided a faster pathway into a flow state but also helped preserve my unique writing voice. The AI’s thought-provoking inquiries encouraged me to dive deeper into subjects, examining them from multiple perspectives.
This interactive method greatly enriched my comprehension of the topics and enabled me to craft content that was both insightful and true to my personal style. The experience underscored how question-asking, especially when facilitated by AI, can be a powerful tool for enhancing understanding and authenticity in content creation
Creativity and AI: A Synergistic Relationship
In the AI era, creativity gains new significance. While AI is adept at providing answers, it cannot conceive original ideas or nurture creativity. Here, human creativity becomes indispensable. Using AI as a tool to amplify our creativity allows us to venture into new realms of innovation and discovery.
AI and Human Skills: A Competitive Advantage
In an AI-driven world, the true competitive advantage lies not in rapid execution but in the ability to strategically choose what to execute. Critical thinking and creativity set us apart from machines and drive innovation, ensuring our journey with AI is about meaningful exploration and discovery, not just speed.

Emotional Intelligence and Collaboration
In an AI-centric society, emotional intelligence emerges as a key factor in effective collaboration with machines. The irony is that while AI lacks human emotions, the way we interact with it significantly impacts the outcomes. Poor communication or misguided commands often lead to subpar results, emphasizing the need for thoughtful engagement with AI.
While we can treat AI like a digital slave that we verbally abuse, the question we should be asking ourselves is how a human would respond if we treat them that way.

Learning from Human Interactions: The Case of a One-Year-Old
Observing a one-year-old's interactions with adults provides valuable insights into effective communication with AI. Like a child, AI thrives on clear, concise instructions and learns from repetition and correction.
Consider the simplicity and clarity we use when communicating with a one-year-old. We break down our communication into understandable bits, using gestures and expressions to enhance understanding. We patiently repeat ourselves and celebrate their attempts at communication.
