As you might know that SAP already won a lawsuit against a UK based company Diageo for indirect access to SAP Software without proper licenses. More recently SAP went behind a US-based brewery Anheuser-Busch for a big bill of $600 Million.
Did you look into your system? Are you using SAP indirectly? This is the time to take a real look into your SAP usage as SAP is willing to change the license without any back penalty if you come out yourself.
What is Indirect Access?
UK company Diageo made a web application around Salesforce platform and was doing remote call through PI (Process Integration) system of SAP to retrieve data from SAP ERP system as well as to post to it back to SAP ERP.
Does EDI also come into the Indirect Access usages? What about batch posting?
