Who said it would be easy? sorry It’s not!

Day care, nanny or family has to take over. First dilemma? Who would I find that could nurture my kids the way I do?

Stay on top of things at home while I’m working full time it’s getting impossible.

Cooking, playing, bathed, reading, put kids to bed, follow hobbies, doctors appointments to accompany ??stay in touch with your friends and network and the network of your kids.. bla bla bla

At home relaxing? No way, clean the kitchen, laundry, some other domestic stuff..

A new dynamic starts in full speed without knocking on your door.

I was used to be always on top of everything and super well prepared, working long hours until I get it done and now a hard stop at 5pm to pick up the kids, mommy time for 4 hours until they go to bed.

I stay up late or wake up early to respond to emails or finish work tasks.

I stopped exercising - who had the time?

One thing was clear to me outsourcing my cleaning stuff at home will help ??

Quintessence of the story:

Empowering your husband (if you have one) or family or your network is key to enabling you to get back to work.

ASK for help you are Not alone and Not the only one. You are Not a super Women, well you are, but if you fall from your balcony you will die.????

This is when we mentally assign our partner a task but never take the step of telling them. We assume that they will intuit our needs - they don’t, you will get frustrated that you have to micromanage your husband - unfortunately they aren’t mind readers. ??

Btw; research shows that in general men aren’t as attuned to nonverbal cues.

Probably I know it because in the meantime I’m divorced and maybe if we where able to communicate better, our marriage would have had a chance? I don’t know, ???? maybe..

You cannot be at 100% of everything anymore 80% is also enough. I mean you want to run two full time jobs, one at home and one at work? Forget it.

  1. Stop control everything,
  2. delegate,
  3. empower others and trust ??

But one thing will stay - you will continue to work harder than your colleagues..
