Feedforward

Giving feedback is largely misunderstood and mistaken for letting people know what they've done wrong. Hence it arrives as judgment and tends to make people defensive which defeats the whole object and turns it into an awkward, unhelpful conversation. It doesn't have to be that way and I created a little PDF to explain more. You can find that here .

Team Health Assessment

No team is perfect but where do you start when it comes to making improvements? What defines what a team is anyway? It's a very important subject and we cover this in-depth in our Engineer to Manager programme . Meanwhile, I created a separate PDF to serve as a handy Team Health self-assessment. Workbook Revamp

When I wrote the first version of my guide to the Engineer to Manager transition I wasn't sure whether to call it a guide or a report. Over the last five years or so it's very definitely evolved into a full workbook and now incorporates assessments, mentoring questions and space for making notes as you work through it.
