Hey it's the 22nd week of the year... COVID was flavour of the week again this week - still struggling so a much slower week than I'd hoped for but still moved things along... I've decided to move Better Work Diaries to a personal blog off LinkedIn at some point soon so this may likely be the last one on here but I'll post where you can find updates if you found them interesting... I'll make this a bullet point summary as a result.

PNG RealWear Project Update

In collaboration with Cisco & Connected South Pacific - I'm designing and delivering a technology trial of RealWear Intrinsically Safe wearable tablets for an energy client. The use case is to conduct remote assurance of high risk assets in PNG from global locations. Hardware has arrived - we kick off Monday.

FriYaY Collaboration

This week I loosely announced a new collaboration with pioneering Generative AI Studio, FriYaY and Pocketknife Group. We'll be combining forces to provide thought leadership and education on Generative AI for WHS. Watch this space.

Hansen Yuncken Enforceable Undertaking Progress

As the digital transformation lead for the ongoing HY Enforceable Undertaking - this week has been planning for the research phase of the digital solutions developed for the EU. Exciting times - more to update on this in the coming months.

LifeBooster Data Review

Last week I managed to capture data from a client using LifeBooster Sensors - this week I was given an overview of how to analyse the data to improve work design - we'll be collating this data and providing insights to the client next week. Learnings will be shared on LinkedIn

Digital Safety Transformation for Data Centres | Insights Report

I spent a couple of days finishing up a review of digital safety transformation for Data Centres - both the construction and operations of DCs. The report includes a framework for digital safety transformation, key technology trends, context and challenges etc. Was a big effort and managed to fire off to the client at 5pm Friday!

There were a bunch of other things that filled the gaps but those were the highlights...

In Better Work Diaries I share my personal journey as I navigate the evolving landscape of work design and safety innovation. A week-by-week overview of the life of a work design consultant; these field notes offer insights, lessons, and stories from my direct experiences with technology, human-centred innovation, and strategic collaborations. This series aims to inspire professionals by demonstrating practical examples of how integrating innovation mindset, technology and ethical practices can transform workplaces into safer, more efficient, and innovative environments.

I'll aim to provide a weekly account of what it's like to work as concierge for change and architect of better work. On the personal front, BWD provides me with an opportunity to reflect on the work I'm doing, is a platform to receive feedback and another way to share insights that I hope will inspire others.
