Training and education in general is a foreign learning approach that was introduced together with other concepts when our nation decided to welcome outsiders during the colonial era and embrace and adopt modernization at independence.
Our ancestors learnt new things through observing their elders and parents. This informal learning is still praticed widely in the country at the moment as a big proportion of the population live in rural areas. The ability to learn from others is natural and has been there for years.
It will be interesting if a research is done to bridge this learning challenge so our modern practices can be easily assimilated and adopted into our traditional learning approach.
