Better Together and Made for More
Quitters Day is behind us, and it’s time to focus on something far more significant: the idea that we are all Made for More.? This morning, a dear friend and former KPMG colleague, Pam Sansbury, shared a powerful message that resonated deeply with me, arriving just as I was seeking guidance in prayer. ?She sent me a link to an inspiring Made for More video from North Point Community Church Alpharetta, Georgia. ?
After reflecting on Quitters Day and the various insights I encountered last week, I found myself struggling to articulate an inspiring message. However, during my quiet time in prayer, I received the encouragement I needed from Pam, who is also a cherished connection on the YouVersion Bible App.
The Made for More video prompted me to contemplate my purpose, especially as I transition into this new phase of my life. Here are a few key takeaways that stood out to me:
According to Daniel Pink | #1 NYT bestselling author of WHEN and DRIVE, the essence of what we’re made for can be distilled into three core elements:
- Autonomy: The desire to direct our own lives.
- Mastery: The urge to improve and excel at what truly matters.
- Purpose: The yearning to contribute to something greater than ourselves.
When we discover our unique purpose that aligns with these principles, we find that pursuing it energizes and inspires us, benefiting not only ourselves but also those around us.
Ephesians 2:10 reminds us of our calling: “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” This verse emphasizes our responsibility to serve and uplift others, also reinforcing the idea that we are not meant to walk this journey alone.
True transformation begins with God and His Word, and genuine peace, regardless of our circumstances, is found in His presence.
This morning, I also completed a BibleApp plan by Rick Warren titled "Better Together" which I found to be quite personally beneficial, and which reinforced the notion that serving God inherently means serving others. ?
Let’s embrace our purpose and uplift one another on this journey of growth and service in all that we do personally and professionally - Better Together and Made for More.?
