The recent ARC Conference held in Johannesburg, themed "Better Together," was a profound reminder of the power of unity in ministry. Pastors, church leaders, and attendees from all walks of life came together to celebrate our conviction that the local church is the hope of the world.
The conference left a lasting impact on everyone who attended, inspiring them to strengthen their faith, leadership, and commitment to serving others. As I reflect on the conference; I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the profound insights and spiritual growth it has brought into my life. This gathering has been a powerful reminder of the values of Love, Service, Giving, Uniting, Honoring, Believing and Dreaming, and the invaluable role of the Church family.
Clarity
In the midst of the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to lose sight of our true purpose. #ARC23 served as a beacon, providing clarity on our path as leaders and servants of the Lord. The conference kicked off with a powerful message from Pastor Layne, emphasizing the importance of clarity in our purpose.
This conference reaffirmed the necessity of unwavering faith in our journey. Faith, as small as a mustard seed, can move mountains and create profound change in our lives and communities. The essence of leadership lies not only in skills but in the core values and love we bring to our roles. #ARC23 emphasized the significance of leading with love, compassion, and integrity.
The In-Between
Life is often lived in the in-between moments, the waiting, the process. It is in these moments that our character is refined, and our leadership molded. Pastor Cheslyn Hemsley's words echoed in my heart as she described ministry as a journey through valleys and mountains. "Praise finds the presence of God in the valley," she assured us. It was a reminder that even in our lowest moments, hope was a melody we could sing.
The in-between is the place between the promise of God and the reality in which we find ourselves, a period of building, remembering our strengths, our resilience, our faith. She encouraged that when it feels like the in-between is taking too long, we should not seek to take matters into our own hands but instead learn the art of patience and WAIT on the lord and he will renew our strength.
#ARC23 encouraged us to embrace courage as we navigate the challenges of leadership. I learned that Praise is a powerful expression of our love for the Lord. The heartfelt worship at the conference reminded us of the importance of praising Him in all circumstances.
The Making of a Leader

Leadership is a journey of continuous growth and transformation. Pst. Chris shared that it's not about where we start but how we allow God to mold us into the leaders He intends us to be. He said: At anytime you see someone being or doing exceptionally well, its not only by the Grace, but there are a series of trials and tribulations they have had to go through.
The promise, process, and provision were the focal points of Pastor Chris's powerful message. "Before you desire magnitude, seek to understand and appreciate the process," he urged. It was a lesson in patience and faith, reminding us that every trial was a stepping stone toward fulfilling God's promises for our lives.
When God makes a promise, before he makes the provision he takes you through the process.
In times of doubt and uncertainty, we must hold onto God's promises because faith trusts not only on Gods promises but in Gods process and provision.
When you are carrying something of magnitude, the longer the process will be;
As leaders we are called to position ourselves to be in the place we are called, to go where God wants us to be. When God gives you a vision, he will provide for it because God's path will never lack Gods provision.
The Church family is a source of strength, support, and love. #ARC23 reinforced the significance of our church community in our journey as leaders. The conference was a transformative experience that deepened my love for the Lord and clarified my divine purpose as a leader.
It reminded me that we are truly "Better Together" as we walk this path of faith, and that our role as leaders is a calling filled with love, courage, and unwavering faith. We carry the lessons learned at this conference into our lives, shining as beacons of God's love and purpose.
