Mark your online calendar now for The Better Together Approach Business Breakfast, Friday, February 21st, 7:45 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the TooJays Deli, 2880 N. University Drive in Coral Springs. No dues. No industry-specific requirements. Everyone is welcome. Just be sure to bring plenty of business cards for business networking.
On February 21st, I will be sharing about how Cling Notes (an Office Depot product), Google Forms, website shorteners like Bit.ly and BL.INK, QR Codes, circular Avery Labels and gold paperclips can change your business life for the better.
You may recall back in 2018, Linkedin changed their privacy settings of the platform, making email addresses private to connections. This has arguably increased the privacy and security of users, but hindered many LinkedIn users using Linkedin to gain email addresses through connections. It is my hope that the filling out of a Google Form will prove to be a helpful workaround for LinkedIn users needing email addresses for a CRM that syncs with Google Contacts. And yes, I want to show you how the process works. It is really is a win-win paradigm for all those who participate in the process.
Cling Notes are a lot like Post-It Notes - with one exception. No glue. Instead, Cling Notes use static electricity to be attached to any smooth, flat surface. But, as is also the case with Post-It Notes, the "Power" of the product is not in the product itself. On the contrary, it is within the PROCESS where it is used. For a great many professional people that process is known as "Kanban" - one of the most highly regarded forms of project management in the world today. You may be more familiar with the process by another name - a "to-do list board." Believe it or not, the Kanban system transformed Toyota in Japan into the largest manufacturer of automobiles in the world. The process so impressed Microsoft so much so that Eric Brechner, an Xbox development manager, wrote a book about the process called "Agile Project Management with Kanban (Developer Best Practices)."
What I plan to do with a Cling Note is show you how I am regaining email addresses from my own LinkedIn network of connections. And, make no mistake, what I am doing with Cling Notes and the other products mentioned, you can also do. It is incredibly easy to replicate the process.
As a reminder, LinkedIn requested I partner up with them and Starbucks in a special program by Mentor.org to help mentor 10,000 young people. I plan to teach young people 14-years-of-age and older how to use LinkedIn. Why should that matter to you? Because I want to get you involved as well. I want to get you involved with the young people and the young people involved with you. These young people will not just partner up with nonprofit organizations to help give their organizations better visibility in the marketplace, they will also partner up with you to help bring business leads to your business through social media resources (and not just LinkedIn).
