Better Know a Skydog: Cory Volk
Skydog Ops
G2's highest-rated Salesforce firm. We help companies get the most out of their CRM & RevOps tech stack.
Cory Volk is the official outdoorsman of Skydog Ops... from mountain biking to backcountry snowboarding to commercial fishing, it's hard to keep up with his adventures! And now he's just as comfortable on a big mountain face as he is mapping out a big RevOps implementation.
Bringing his experience from real estate, Cory seamlessly pivoted into the world of RevOps, working with companies in all kinds of sectors, from venture-backed SaaS to legal to renewable energy. Five months into starting at Skydog, he's already made the jump to our RevOps Lead role.
Cory's great wit and sense of humor keeps everyone at Skydog laughing and on their toes. Instead of shipping or deploying new features, we now "send it" thanks to Cory.
We're so lucky to have him on the team and excited for you to get to know him too.
Introducing you to Cory Volk! ???? ??

Tell us about yourself!
I'm a Rev Ops Lead for Skydog Ops! Have been here for just over 5 months and am based out of Breckenridge, CO.
What’s your favorite Skydog memory?
Tough question. Has to be a tie between scoring 2-under and taking home the golden golf ball in the first ever Skydog mini-golf competition at our Orlando summit, and hiking a couple 14ers in Colorado this summer with my teammate Kelly!

What were you doing before working at Skydog?
I was managing about 60 short-term rentals in Breckenridge, CO. Doing everything from fixing remote controls and fireplaces to building dynamic pricing algorithms and calculating revenue projections.
What are some of your biggest passions outside of work?
Backcountry snowboarding and mountain biking for sure. Anything that includes exploring new places, meeting new people, and getting an adrenaline rush!
What do you like most about your role?
We have an incredible team at Skydog Ops. We work hard, but having fun and taking time off is recommended! Our clients are awesome to work with as well. To learn about so many new industries while helping our clients compete and reach their goals is super rewarding.
What’s a fun fact about you that people may not know?
I worked on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska for a few months that caught 1.2m lbs of salmon in 2.5 months! Don't eat farmed salmon!
Cats or dogs? (There is a correct answer)
Dogs, and it's not relatively close. Although I have to give a shoutout to the hairless Sphynx cat, because I'm not allergic to them and they seem pretty rad.
