Is it better to have talent or skill?
The definition of talent is a special natural ability someone has, like a creative mind, sociable, funny, etc. Skill is the ability to do something well - coming from practice, something for example you can learn at college or vocational school like computer coding accounting, engineering, gardening, etc.
It is clear through the above definitions that both talent and skill go hand in hand. A skill can be easily learned through dedication and hard work. One can learn to do a skill, however, if this task is done without talent, your task will not be unique and as a result, you will continue to live in mediocrity.
Talent in the workplace can refer to both innate abilities and mastered skills. While talent is a natural aptitude that emerges effortlessly, skills are acquired abilities developed through learning and practice, and both make a great combination for a great career.
