Ever since I’ve known @Rashid Mat, he has taught me the good practice of it’s better to be early than late in anything we do in life – either to attend meetings, submit proposals or set-up for our educational programmes.
Honestly, this is also a good behaviour to respect others by being punctual.?As life coaches, we teach our participants on how to better manage themselves so that they can be early for our programmes.?We see their enthusiasm as many of them arrive an hour earlier before registration.?We educate our team members and even our own children to have this good habit instilled in them.
One good example, which recently made the headlines, was when Malaysia lost the gold medal in Paralympics.?This is definitely a good lesson, we can all learn from.?There is no Malaysian time…. We need to remove that from our mindset.?
We focus on Time Management in one of our programme modules.?We stress on how important it is not to just manage time but more to manage ourselves.?We would normally ask our participants “Do you leave your house 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 5 minutes before you are suppose to reach your school?” Do you allow for some buffer in case there is an accident or traffic jam along the way??These are simple yet pertinent questions for our students to be aware, as no one has asked them these questions before or even to trigger their thoughts this way.?

We can control and change this.?It takes lots of discipline.?Time waits for no man.?Hence, it is crucial for us to value time and the realization that our time is of precious value is a very powerful thought in mind.
Good time management skills is one of the life skills that allows us to be better focus and more productive, lowers our stress and be able to gain a sense of fulfillment.?One of our life skills educational programme, CerDik, is supported by Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad to build and shape character of Orang Asli school children to be better learners.
