Is Better Content More Expensive Content?

Let's reiterate the importance of content marketing, such as blogs or marketing on LinkedIn. As Joel Goobich, a former Forbes Council member, aptly puts it:

"Content is the fuel that powers the entire marketing engine. Without it, your marketing strategy comes to a standstill."

This reaffirms the value of investing in content marketing.

So, if content marketing is so crucial to a marketing strategy, does this mean paying more for it guarantees better content and a better return on your investment?

Not necessarily, as Goobich points out.

"More expensive content doesn't always translate to superior, more beneficial results. In fact, it can sometimes be just the opposite.”

All businesses need original content placed on their sites. It builds brand presence and awareness and gets the attention of search engines. Typically, there are two ways to generate this content.

In-house.?This is when a business sets up an in-house crew to prepare and publish content on its site and social media. Organizations that want ultimate control over their content and the quality of content typically select this option. In my experience, organizations involved in the legal and medical industries are most concerned about their content and want to prepare it in-house.?

However, building an in-house content marketing team can be costly. Salaries can be high, and another challenge is that the turnover can also be high. While having content marketing prepared in-house often looks like the least costly option, the opposite is frequently true.

Outside content creators.?This is when marketers outsource their content writing and publishing to individuals or content marketing firms. Businesses can significantly reduce their costs by utilizing an outside content creator, potentially saving thousands of dollars. But here is the kicker: charges can vary considerably, from $100 per blog to more than $1,000 per blog.?

The benefit of outsourcing content creation is that it is generally less costly and more efficient. The entire project is turned over to an outside source.

However, businesses must perform their due diligence. Finding a trustworthy, quality content creator can take a little time, but it's a step that must be taken to ensure the best results.?
