BeTalent Strengths – Our newly refined assessment is available now!
Be Talent Strengths is an online self-report questionnaire that measures 28 different Strengths. The aim is to assess the core and distinctive Strengths that an individual might have, as well as understanding what engages and energises them.??
Being energised is different to being motivated – one can have the motivation to do something as it will result in something beneficial, but it does not necessarily mean that they enjoy doing it. Being energised means that you gain energy from the task, rather than feeling drained. These can be used as part of the assessment process for recruitment, development or coaching, and then validated at interview. Our questionnaire takes approximately 20 minutes to complete, and once done, a report is generated. The reports are in easy-to-read formats, providing in-depth information about energisers and where the individual will excel, add value and how they interact with colleagues for example.?

The BeTalent Strengths Questionnaire used to measure 30 Strengths. In 2022, we conducted a validation analysis and determined that two of the Strengths (Fair and Self-Aware) were not sufficiently distinct, and therefore, the decision was made to drop them and merge their items into other Strengths where appropriate. Extensive testing was conducted as part of this decision, so this change adds value for those who use the new version of Strengths. ?
New reports available – with a facelift?
The Strengths report has also had a facelift as it aligns with our new branding.? We now also offer a Strengths Summary report, which outlines at a glance the top seven and bottom seven strengths, as well as a snapshot of people the individual might find energising or frustrating to work with.?
All of the Strengths reports have had a facelift to align with our new branding. Plus, we have also added new reports in response to customer feedback. For group reporting, we now offer both a Group report and a new Subgroup report for more detailed analysis of specific subsets within a larger team.?
The new Summary report outlines at a glance the top seven and bottom seven strengths, as well as a snapshot of people the individual might find energising or frustrating to work with. At just two pages, the Summary report supports our digital-first approach by reducing waste and protecting resources.?

What will Strengths do for you??
The Strengths questionnaire can be used in a variety of ways. Firstly, it can be used to help individuals determine the types of roles they are best suited to. For example, if someone is energised by being Meticulous, then they might enjoy roles where they get to apply their proofreading skills. Secondly, BeTalent Strengths can help people to understand their strengths and what energises them at work. For example, if someone is more energised by being Decisive and getting things done, and less energised by being Meticulous, then they might enjoy tasks where they can be decisive much more than tasks where they might feel bogged down by the details.??
The next thing Strengths can help with is to enable organisations to make effective people and development decisions. Understanding the Strengths of individuals who are in the team (as well as those who may be joining) can help to contribute to an environment of cognitive diversity. This diversity is essential for creating an innovative, inspiring and psychologically safe working environment. It can also determine where it might be valuable for the team to focus in terms of development, as well as highlight different tasks they could undertake which could allow them to play to their strengths and feel energised while doing so. Finally, Strengths can encourage open discussions about what people enjoy, what energises them and how they could use this to their advantage in their workplaces.?
