Why Micro Blogs Matter?
?To grow your business, you need to grow your audience, to grow your audience; you need to grow attention.

? ? ? ? - Attention comes first.?
? ? ? ? - Writing is the best way I know to earn attention.?
? ? ? ? - But an uncomfortable truth, attention goes to the most consistent.
?
The burning question to answer then is: how do you become the most consistent?
This is why I am launching the Micro Blog System in the Spring of 2024 as an online course.?

The aim is simple:?

? ? ? ?- To make it easy to keep you writing.?
? ? ? ?- To keep you getting better.
? ? ? ?- So, you earn attention.?

But, BEFORE I launch, I will beta test it. I will run a series of workshops first to test it out, so I can improve it before I launch it, so I can make it more useful.

It is 95% there, but together we can push it to be the most useful Micro Blog course in the world. The one thing I know about my small community on LinkedIn is the desire to go to the next level.?
If it were a book (And it will be), this would be its table of contents.

For example, this is how to think about being counterintuitive:
?
If you are writing about the same stuff as everybody else, you are probably not going to win attention.?
?
In order to get attention, you have to talk about something in a new or different way. So when I started talking about morning routines, I had to say something that no one else was saying.
?
Adding a counterintuitive element to your writing gets attention. And that is part of your system.
Why doing a Beta test is important?
I will find out what works and what does not.
? ? ? ?-?Test in public.
? ? ? ?-?Weep in private.
?
Think about it: In our local town, comedians come and test their new material on a small audience in the town theatre.?
They tell a joke.
They learn.
It is brutal.
And telling.
The feedback loop is at the end of the show.
The muted applause tells you loud and clear there is work to be done.
They learn from a small audience before they do the big shows.
They must get it nailed before.
I expect to do 3 Beta workshops at least. (Two in person. One online.)
I am writing a 135-page book to go along with it.

This is a community that will give me feedback as I am writing.

In short, I am going to spend more time on making it useful.
And then, word of mouth, will sell it after I launch.

What is a Micro Blog?
It is a short form of writing that takes less than 10 minutes to write but gives you outsize results in terms of attention.
Because you keep doing them, they build a library on your specific niche.
This compounds the attention over time. You don’t win from one blog. You win because of all of them in your specific niche.

Why do they work?
Most people are sharing information without understanding how the brain engages.
They may write often. They get crickets often. The Micro Blog system will teach you how to add emotion and storytelling to your posts, so they switch the brain on.
3 parts of the brain that are responsible for making decisions.
1.????????? Amygdala.
2.????????? Hippocampus.
3.????????? Prefrontal cortex.

The left side of the brain is more analytical, and the right is more emotional and intuitive.
Information tends to activate the left frontal lobe, which can often mean people are easily distracted.
So, while they are reading your information, tips and expertise etc, they are thinking about something else.?

10 个月David Hi booked up for Friday and was excited to learnt write USEFULLY in only 10 mins a day. BUt, did a retreat this weekend and hurt my hip (more, it was already a bit compromised) and so just will not be able to manage walking around London and facing Tube stairs and the like. Have called and emailed contact deeds to no avail. Could I be refunded, please? Or even have a place deferred on another beta testing ? That would be precious. Hope this reaches you! 11 个月Can’t wait for this! Every year I really want to go to these in person writing days you do. Then I ask everyone around me, should I go? Oh it’s a lot of money…maybe not. The fact is, I want to go every year. So why am I asking everyone for their opinions…? This year I chose not to disempower myself she say a big fat YES to going and happy Christmas to me!
